Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 tablet
Dell is updating its Latitude 5000 series with a 2-in-1 tablet featuring a 12.3 inch, 1920 x 1280 pixel display, support for up to an 8th-gen Intel Core i7 quad-core processor,
The tablet features a built-in “self deploying” kickstand, which means that you can just press the bottom of the tablet against a flat surface and the stand will pop out, making it easy to set up the tablet on a desk or table with just one hand.
Dell’s optional keyboard cover connects to the bottom of the tablet via magnets and allows you to use the Latitude 5290 in a sort of laptop mode (or Surface Pro mode, if you prefer). Or you can pick up the 2 pound tablet and hold it in one hand while using a finger or Dell Active Pen to interact with the touchscreen display.
Dell will offer the tablet with a choice of 7th-gen Intel Core i3 dual core or 8th-gen Core i5 or Core i7 quad-core processors, up to 16GB of memory, and up to 1TB of solid state storage.
Other options include 31.5WHr our 42 WHr batteries and an optional Qualcomm Snapdragon x7 LTE modem. The tablet has an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera with Windows Hello support, stereo speakers, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, two USB Type-C ports, a USB 3.1 Type-A port, and an audio jack.
The tablet measures 11.5″ x 8.2″ x 0.4″ and the tablet and keyboard together weigh about 2.6 pounds if you get the model with the smaller battery .The new Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 tablet should be available soon for $899 and up.
